The "Myths of Biofuels" was taped with the help of local volunteers associated with several San Francisco bay area peak oil groups, including Post Carbon Santa Clara Valley, San Francisco Post Carbon, and San Francisco Oil Awareness. Special thanks also to Linda Perrine and Victoria Armigo (Victoria had the original idea to bring David's presentation to Santa Clara after seeing it earlier this year in San Francisco.)

Credits: Music & Video

The following media was used in the edited version of "The Myths of Biofuels." All selections are used either with permission, found in the public domain, or by "Sutro Tower Video" created using samples from the public domain:

  • "Pumpkin" by Cheezedog Leafblower (used with permission). His website, birdlung music.

Listen to the full version of "Pumpkin."

  • "Insect Rave" by Dennis Brumm (his first attempt at really using Adobe Audition, which has been residing for a number of years on his p.c. lying in wait). Some samples in this were homemade (and it shows), others were courtesy of The Freesound Project. Check it out!

Listen to the full version of "Insect Rave."

  • "C Minor Blues" (excerpts used: jazz piano improvisation on C Minor Blues) by Jonah Dempcy, also available at the Internet Archive.

  • Video, Our Changing Family Life (1957) from the Prelinger Archives collection at the Internet Archive. (Some farming scenes from before the "Age of Tractors.")
