George Scurtu

George Scurtu is a Southern California native who is currently attending Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. George creates work in both digital and traditional media. Dark and provocative, his work deals with such themes as obsessions, vulnerability and the flesh.

George submitted drawings, a book, and a standee, about which he wrote: "I created a series of 11 pen drawings that deal with a fantasy/surreal post peak oil collapse world. I then printed the drawings as lithographs and hand bound them into a book. Along with the lithographs in the book is basic information about peak oil. The original drawings are 5.5" x 7.5" and each one is matted. The book is about 8"x6" closed. In addition I took one of the characters from the drawings and digitally made it into a 5' x 3' standee."

George's website is Self Destruction Art
